About

The South Town Art Walk (STAW) is a grassroots event organized and led by artists in South Corvallis, Oregon. The first annual South Town art walk took place in 2011 when a small group of artists printed a map and invited family, friends and the community to visit their studios for holiday shopping.

The artists’ homes/studios are densely located on the East side of Hwy 99 from Crystal Lake Drive down to Park St which is now being termed the “South Town Art District” by local residents on social media. The South Town Art Walk has become an annual event ever since and continues to grow each year as new artists join and existing artists share space at their studios for newcomers.

The STAW aims to promote local makers and artists, build up the Corvallis community and celebrate shopping local. Come walk the South Town neighborhoods this December and see local art inside the studios as well as on the street!

The most recent community art addition is an intersection painting that was completed during the summer of 2019 right on the pavement at the junction of Bethel and Lilly St!

STAW artists are so grateful for the overwhelming support of the Corvallis community! We look forward to seeing you in December!
