I make my pottery on the wheel where the clay moves like a supple song under my fingers. On the smooth canvass of freshly thrown pieces, I carve natural landscapes and unfurling plant life that are inspired by the Willamette valley. The mountains and green life surrounding me find their way into my pottery as I mimic their satisfying lines and natural textures.
